A simple weight conversion web app.

A simple HTML and CSS contact form. Note: There is no back-end functionality to this, as I only built the front-end as an exercise in HTML and CSS.

A bit about me...
Coming from the automotive finance industry as a clerical worker, web development was something
that I always knew about but never bothered diving into. It wasn't until I found myself at work being
asked "where do you see yourself in 10 years?" and realized that I had no answer, and it hit me that I
would likely still be in the role I was currently in, where I was unhappy and not finding fulfillment in
my work.
That's when I decided to go home, pick up my busted laptop, and decided to give the whole "coding"
thing another look. I quickly realized that to be a developer, you don't need a fancy 4 year CS degree;
you just need the drive to learn, the ability to self-motivate, and...well, a computer with access to the
web. I quickly realized that I enjoyed the feeling of building things and solving problems; it challenged
me, and I found that exciting. So for the next 2 years, I used everything from YouTube, to Udemy,
to FreeCodeCamp and various other resources to piece together
the skills I have now, which landed me my first development job for a small dental marketing company.
I continue to grow every day, and have come to learn a lot of hard lessons about this field, but ultimately I can't imagine having a career doing anything else.
If you're interested in discussing possibly recruiting me to your team, I would love to talk! Feel free to reach out below, and I will get back to you as soon as possible. And thanks for checking out my portfolio!
